From Caen: Take the N158 then N138 to Alencon, Le Mans and Tours. Take N10 to Poitiers and follow directions from Poitiers below

From St. Malo: Take the N137 through Rennes towards Nantes. From Nantes, take N149 to Poitiers and follow directions from Poitiers below.

From Poitiers:  Follow signs for “Poitiers Sud” and “Angouleme” which takes you on the ring-road around the West of Poitiers. Follow signs for “St. Benoit” and then “St. Benoit bourg”. The road will take you through a tunnel under the hills around Poitiers. Keep a look out after the tunnel for signs for “Confolens” and “Gencay”. Turn right onto the D741 to Gencay and Confolens. From CONFOLENS take the D948 following signs for LACS DE HAUTE CHARENTE and Chabanais.
